EldoS Announces New Release of SecureBlackbox 7.2

11/20/2009

London, UK – November 20, 2009 – New software release of EldoS Corporation announced today opens new possibilities for software developers. New crucial functionalities such as full control and validation of X.509 certificate chain, certificate validity and revocation, and secure ZIP archiving are added in version 7.2 of SecureBlackbox. These features will help software developers to significantly improve security of their applications.

EldoS Corporation is the long standing leader on the market of data encryption components. A new package – ZIPBlackbox – is an important addition to the value of the SecureBlackbox 7.2 release. ZIP is a standard, widespread and immensely popular open format for data compression and archiving. EldoS augments it with an ability to apply encryption algorithms either to a whole ZIP-archive, or to individual files within it. ZIPBlackbox makes possible working with very large archives (ZIP64), use strong AES encryption, as well as certificate-based encryption and signing.

Another valuable security feature implemented in SecureBlackbox 7.2. is complex validation of X.509 certificates. The X.509 is a standard for Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). New addition to PKIBlackbox allows tracing and validation of certificate chain, verification of certificate validity against Certificate Revocation List (CRL) or Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) using HTTP. Both CRL and OCSP are powerful resources for controlling certificate validity and, thus, insuring that every specific certificate is authentic and current.

“We quickly reacted to customers requests for improvement of PKI certificates validation. Now they can implement certificate chain validation, CRL and OCSP certificate verification in their applications by writing just three lines of code! This is a breakthrough in certificate validation implementation.”, – says Eugene Mayevski, CTO of EldoS Corporation, – “Add to that implementation of ZIP compression format provided by brand new ZIPBlackbox with support of encryption, huge size archives, and you are safe to venture into projects of any complexity. To save customers' resources, we offer ZIPBlackbox as a standalone package or as a part of Data Security, Standard and Professional packages.” Overall, the newly released Version 7.2 of SecureBlackbox by EldoS makes standard compliance, data encryption and compression, secure storage and transfer, authentication and integrity checks even more robust and up-to-date. Use of this software component will help to bring developed software products in line with modern market demands for certificate validation and compression standards, unbreakable security and highest reliability.
