We want to use SFTP Net Drive on a multi-user Windows terminal server. It works like a charm, we found only one issue:

SFTP Net Drive mounts the share globally for all users, i.e. if a user mounts a drive with SFTP Net Drive all other users who are logged into the terminal server at the same time will see this share and can use it. This is not just confusing for the other users but is a security problem as the SFTP share is mounted with the user credentials of the original user and other users should not have access to that.

Any advice on how to get a private mount with SFTP Net Drive is much appreciated.

We will change settings in the next build so that user-local mounting points are created.

Are there already any news on when the new build with user-local mounting points will be available?

All the best,

Bernd

We are currently considering creation of paid corporate version with such feature included there.

Are there any news on the "private mounts"?

I've seen that there is a new version of SFTP Net Drive available (1.0.19) but the change log doesn't mention private mounts. I didn't find any mention of a "paid corporate version" either on your web page.

No, the "private mounts" feature is not available yet.
We're working on feature list to be included only into corporate version. So such version will not be available before september-october.

We purchased the software with 2.0 build a couple of weeks ago. And on this scenario, wehre I have multiple users on 1 TS server, I have had a license problem.
The license seems to be a computer license, so when I activated the product under my credentials (I ran as Admin too), I was able to activate it, but when other users now try to open it, after I restarted the app, they get prompted for the key again.... unless I "rus the app as admin" which I don't want b/c the users aren't admins and wouldn't be able to open it.

I did install the EXE via the control panel option "Install Remote App"

Suggestions?

I was going to wait for the Feb. 1st release of 2.0 to see if it was going to make a change. Thanks.

P.S. I am open to any solutions, like impor/export the license info from my user to all users.. or something... I just don't want to re-activate it... it's 1 server with 30 users... will it go out of activations?
Thanks

Create virtual file systems and disks, expose and manage remote data as if they were files on the local disk.
